Organize a Training Workshop - IFFS Policy for Its Official Participation in Workshops

OBJECTIVES :

Encourage member and associated societies to organize training workshops, in collaboration with the IFFS, in reproductive medicine as a part of their Continuing Educational and Professional Development Programs.

MECHANISM :

Member or associated societies apply to the Chairman of the IFFS Workshop Sub-Committee.

Workshop Sub-Committee reviews the scientific program and the budget.

If the application is approved by the Workshop Sub-Committee, it chooses the international faculty to participate in the workshop if required.

The Workshop Sub-Committee obtains approval of the President of the IFFS.

Member or associated Society is informed of the decision of the Workshop Sub-Committee.

A contract is signed between the IFFS and member or associated society.

VARIOUS DEGREES OF INVOLVEMENT OF IFFS :

A Workshop organised by IFFS :

A workshop organised by IFFS means that IFFS holds full responsibility for the scientific programme and controls all aspects of the workshop, including the budget.

The budget of the workshop will be made available by the local member or associated society.

Travel expenses and local accommodation of IFFS faculty will be provided by local member or associated societies.

The IFFS would issue letters to Medical Industry Companies in the area identified by local member societies to help them in seeking financial support of the workshop.

The IFFS will not be responsible to cover any budget deficit of the Workshop.

Any surplus money generated from the Workshop will be used by local member societies in their Continuing Educational and Training Programs.

A Workshop held under the auspices of IFFS :

A workshop held under the auspices of IFFS is a workshop organised by a member or associated society.

The scientific programme is prepared by member or associated society and has full approval by the IFFS. It includes the participation of one or more invited speakers selected by the IFFS Workshop Sub-Committee.

Travel expenses and local accommodation of IFFS faculty will be provided by local member or associated societies.

The IFFS can provide local member or associated societies with letters to medical industry companies to help them in seeking financial support of the Workshop.

The IFFS will also approve the budget.

The IFFS will not be responsible to cover any budget deficit of the Workshop.

Any surplus money generated from the Workshop will be used by local member societies in their Continuing Educational and Training Programs.

A Workshop approved by IFFS :

A workshop can be approved by IFFS once the IFFS Workshop Sub-Committee has approved its scientific programme, whatever the status of the organising society.
