The International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) is the overarching international organization encompassing the national fertility societies of close to 70 nations. Founded over 50 years ago, its mission is to stimulate basic and clinical research, disseminate education and encourage superior clinical care of patients in infertility and reproductive medicine. As part of the educational outreach mission each year it conducts postgraduate courses in selected cities in underdeveloped countries and every three years holds a major international congress hosted by a national fertility society from within the federation.
